Italian Language Classes at UBC Cirencester

If Walls Could Talk! Learning Italian at UBC Cirencester

Businesses come in all shapes and sizes, from startup ventures and ‘solopreneur’ professionals to growing SMEs.

Business centres such as those provided by UBC cater to businesses large and small, but these centres provide much more than 9-5 offices and reception services. They also provide meeting rooms for internal clients as well as local firms - and just like the businesses they serve, these meeting venues can adapt to a wide range of requirements.

Indeed, meeting rooms aren’t just for business transactions. These private, quiet environments also provide excellent training venues that are especially suited for small, conversational-style groups.

Case in point, the Board Room at UBC’s Cirencester Business Centre is home to a regular Italian language class run by local teacher, Marta Ferro.

“I have been teaching Italian to mature students at UBC Cirencester now for nearly three years,” says Marta, who uses the Board Room for twice-weekly language classes.

“I see two groups a week on Tuesdays from 9-11am and Fridays from 10-12pm. I have about 10 students in each group, post A-Level standard, and they are all keen and very enthusiastic to improve their Italian conversation skills.”

Marta, who is originally from southern Italy, has a modern language degree and formerly taught at a local college, until she was made redundant in 2015.

“The facilities at UBC have given me the opportunity to carry on teaching this lovely language,” she says.

“We all enjoy the accommodation here and the premises are excellent - modern, clean, airy, warm and well -appointed. Parking is easy and all the members of staff are friendly and helpful. I doubt there are better premises in Cirencester!”
